The Information Management and Technology Division guides the Departments' digital capability and is leading digital transformation for the Department including Victorian government schools. The Division architects, manages and supports the largest technology network in Victoria, supporting a user base of approximately 750,000 staff and students.
IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration.

About the opportunity
A fantastic Ongoing opportunity for a Functional Analyst within Enterprise Information Services Branch.
The purpose of the HR Systems Functional Analyst role is to support the Payroll, Recruitment and Training application's improvement program by:

  • Documenting and acting as a liaison between the HR Program of works and business areas
  • Interpreting and refining functional requirements and solution options
  • Documentation of functional requirements, costs and recommendations
  • Configuration management of the Payroll, Recruitment and Training applications to support BAU operations and related Human Capital Management improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment to the department's standards and delivery work practices
The candidate must be comfortable engaging with a broad range of stakeholders and to work as directed.The role reports to the Manager, Corporate Systems
About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:
  • Minimum 3 years Business and/or Functional Analysis or related experience delivering analysis artefacts on high complexity ICT projects or systems
  • Contemporary knowledge of information management technologies and their application within a business context.
  • Substantial functional and configuration experience and expertise in either Oracle PeopleSoft Core HR/Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Human Capital Management functionality or equivalent systems
  • Develop testing documentation (test strategy, test plans, test scripts)
  • Document and report test results
  • Execute testing (SIT, UAT, Alpha / Beta testing phases etc) where required
  • Utilise business requirements and functional specifications/technical designs to inform test strategy, test plans and test scripts
